Addition and Multiplication Properties of Equality Part 1
In this lesson, students are introduced to the addition and multiplication properties of equality, which are important for solving equations. The addition property allows numbers to be added to both sides of the equation, while the multiplication property allows numbers to be multiplied to both sides. The lesson walks through several examples of using these properties to solve equations, in both horizontal and vertical formats. Different ways of solving equations are addressed, with a focus on finding the one answer to the problem.
