Lesson Summary:

In this lesson on the unit circle, you'll learn what it is and how to use it in traditional trigonometry. The unit circle is centered around the origin and has a radius of 1 in every direction, making it the easiest thing to work with. You'll also learn how to convert between degrees and radians and the values of sine, cosine, and tangent, and how to find them on the unit circle. By the end of the lesson, you'll be able to easily find angle measures and solve any unit circle problem.

Lesson Description:

An introduction to the unit circle and unit circle trigonometry. How does traditional trigonometry apply to the unit circle? Also, several examples of finding values around the unit circle. This video gives an easy way to remember unit circle trig values. Also, there are resources to use on any unit circle problem.

Finally, a no-nonsense, "easy" way to understand the unit circle. Okay, so maybe the words "easy" and "unit circle" may never be said in the same sentence for you, but this lesson truly explains many trig / unit circle concepts in a way that is easy to remember. This lesson really is a stand-alone lesson when it comes to the unit circle. It includes much of what one should learn while including a couple of great resources, especially if you plan to continue on to Calculus. Many examples and applications round out a very complete and comprehensive lesson. If you're studying the unit circle, you do not want to miss this!
