Finding the values of vertical angels

  • If I am given the measure of an angle with a variable in it, and I know the measure of the angle the vertical to it, how can I solve for the variable?
  • If I am given an angle with measure of 120 degrees, and the angle vertical to it has a measure of 2x-10 degrees, then how do I solve for x?
This lesson shows how to solve for a variable when you know the measure of an angle in terms of the variable, and you know the measure of the angle that is vertical to it.
