  • What is the radius of a circle?
  • What is the formula for circumference of a circle and how do you calculate it?
  • If the diameter of a circle is 10in., what is its circumference and area?
  • What is the formula for area of a circle and how do you calculate it?

  • What is a sphere, and what is the formula for its volume?
  • If a sphere has a 10 in. diameter, what is its volume?
  • How do you find the volume of a sphere?
  • What are some formulas for geometric shapes?
Formulas for circumference and area of a circle, and volume of a cylinder and sphere are introduced, and some calculations are done without using a calculator. This is a great introduction to basic geometric formulas, and how to plug numbers into them.
