• What is the radius of a circle?
• What is the formula for circumference of a circle and how do you calculate it?
• If the diameter of a circle is 10in., what is its circumference and area?
• What is the formula for area of a circle and how do you calculate it?
• What is a right circular cylinder, and what is the formula for its volume?
• If a cylinder has height 20 in. and base diameter 12 in., how do you find its volume?
• What are the units for volume?
• What is a sphere, and what is the formula for its volume?
• If a sphere has a 10 in. diameter, what is its volume?
• How do you find the volume of a sphere?
• What are some formulas for geometric shapes?
Formulas for circumference and area of a circle, and volume of a cylinder and sphere are introduced, and some calculations are done without using a calculator. This is a great introduction to basic geometric formulas, and how to plug numbers into them.
