Volume of shapes are found by splitting them up into rectangular prisms or boxes.

  • How do you find the volume of a rectangular prism or box?
  • How do you find the volume of a staircase?
A fun, interesting video for finding the volume of a staircase by using the fact that volume of a rectangular prism = length * width * height. A good lesson for learning to add up several areas to get the full area.

Very informative, and just the right speed. I like this dude's work. Thank you for taking the time to make resources like these. I am attempting to join the Canadian Armed Forces, and the trades I can see myself in all require advanced high school mathematics. As I only recently obtained a GED (after dropping out of high school four or five years prior to that) I can safely state with authority that I do not possess said skills. These videos at least give me a chance to brush up on the really hard aspects before I have my aptitude testing. In short, thanks.
