Addition with different bases with a lot of carry-over.
- Converting numbers between bases - A conversion calculator and table of example values to help understand other bases and change between them.
- How do you add numbers in different bases if you have to carry digits over?
- How do you add 45554 + 12433 in base 8?
- How do you convert 60207 base 8 to base 10?
- How do you add 10021 + 33223 in base 4?
- How do you add 11011 + 11001 in base 2 and what does it equal in base 10?
Some more difficult problems are tackled in this lesson, as there is a carry-over when these numbers are added. The same principles apply, but a bit more thinking is required in these problems. A bunch of good examples are shown, and the abacus really helps you see what is going on very clearly.
I am taking a class via correspondence and the book is horrible. I am so thankful to have resources such as this describing what I need to learn. I don't think I would pass with out it! I love it! This video, and all videos by Perez, are awesome. As an adult learner, I really connected to his explanation and humor!
