Logarithms
Meets these NCTM Standards:
- Rules of Logarithms - List of rules of logarithms.
- What is a logarithm?
- How do you find the log of a number?
- What is log base 4 of 16?
- What is log base 3 of 9?
- What is the common log?
- What does log 0 equal?
- What does log 1 equal?
This lesson actually gets into some logarithm calculations (without a calculator) by using the definition of a logarithm. Some really good example problems are shown and the calculations are explained step by step. Some really great examples are chosen, such as log base 3 of 0 and log base 3 or 1, in addition to simpler logs.
I like how the lesson takes you step by step slowly enough to truly understand the information.
