In this lesson, I show how to solve for x and y in angle measure expressions within a quadrilateral.

  • If four angle measures in a quadrilateral are 96, 94, 2x, and 3y + 44, what do x and y equal?
  • What two angle measures add up to 180 degrees in a trapezoid?
  • Why do two angles in a trapezoid add up to 180 degrees?
  • If 94 + 3y + 44 = 180, what does y equal?
  • If 96 + 2x = 180, what does x equal?
This video does a good job of explaining how to figure out angle measures in a trapezoid. There is a small mistake that is corrected in the lesson where an equation is solved to find one of the angle measures. All steps in the process of finding the angle measures are explained.
