Part of video series Graphing Inequalities
Taught by Naomi1431
This vid was created using Jing by TechSmith & with the help of Ian Vogt's linear equation / inequality graphing applet(http://mathgraph.idwvogt.com/GraphPpr.html) for graphing.
This video is on graphing systems of linear, 2 variable inequalities in the coordinate plane.
  • How do you graph a system of 4 inequalities in 2 variables in the x-y plane?
  • How do you graph x + 3y <= 12?
  • How do you graph 2x + y <= 12?
  • How do you graph x >= 0?
  • How do you graph y >= 0?
  • How do you graph an inequality in standard form using intercepts?
  • How can you find the x-intercept and y-intercept of an inequality?
  • How do you know which side of a line to shade on with inequalities?
This lesson goes through an excellent example of graphing 4 different linear inequalities on the same graph, shading, and finding the intersection of all 4 shaded areas. All steps for graphing the lines and shading are explained very well. Unfortunately, the video cuts out at 5:00, although the instruction is basically finished.

I only wish I could HEAR the lesson! From the Staff Review, it sounds like it'd really help me right now... but the volume is too low even when I turn up my laptop volume and the volume on screen...
