- How do you write an equation, solve the equation, and check your answer to coin problems in Algebra?
- How do you solve a coin problem without using guess and check?
- How do you make a chart to solve a coin problem?
- If Beth has 7 more quarters than dimes and 1 fewer nickel than dimes, and their total value is $3.70, how many of each type of coin does Beth have?
- How do you solve 25(x + 7) + 10x + 5(x - 1) = 370?
- How do you solve a coin problem if you know the total amount of money involved and there are 3 different types of coins?
This third video in the series is another really good explanation of how to determine how many of each type of coin a person has given the total value of the person's coins and some more information about the relationship between the number of coins the person has. This example is a bit more difficult because 3 different types of coin are in this example.
