Graphing 5 - solving an equation for y and graphing with a table
- How do you write an equation in the form y = mx + b?
- How do you solve an equation for y?
- How can you get an equation in slope-intercept form?
- How can you get y all by itself in 2x + 3y = 6?
- How do you solve for y in 4x - y = 8?
- How do you get y by itself in 3x - 5y = 15?
- How do you solve for y in 8x + 3y = 0?
- How do you graph an equation that is in standard form?
- How do you graph 3x - 5y = 15 using a table?
- How do you graph y = 3/5x - 3 using a table?
- How do you graph 2x - 5y = 0 by solving for y, making a table, and plotting points?
- How can you check an ordered pair to make sure it is a solution to an equation?
- What x-values should be chosen to make a chart for an equation with fractions?
This lesson explains the process of changing an equation from standard form into slope-intercept form by solving the equation for y. These equations are then used to make a table of values and graph the equation. This process is explained very well and several example problems are shown in the video.
